Michael McLaughlin, President The residences Michael builds benefit from his experience as a professional Urban Designer, as he appreciates and connects to the design aesthetic desired by the architect and client. Michael’s more than 38 years of experience has intentionally included various careers in disciplines and positions uniquely qualifying him to provide professional management expertise in the creation of your residence. With management-level tenures at noted architectural firms, construction companies, real estate development firms, as well as municipal urban planning agencies, Michael’s experiences provide a perspective rarely found among residential builders. His knowledge-base can be applied to any challenge presented in the construction of sophisticated and complex structures in the high-end, luxury residential market. Particularly noteworthy is Michael’s significant experience in the preservation of historic structures and its requirement to have a level of attention to detail and patience that reaches beyond the typical building process. This specialized background serves him and therefore the success of your residence with tremendous results.
Michael has directed the construction, renovation and preservation of residences throughout the Atlanta area in the last 34 years. As a builder, Michael expends a great deal of energy on each meticulous detail staying true to the design intentions of the architect while ensuring the quality of construction meets the highest standards possible.

Mike Waldeck, Director of Construction With over 36 years of construction management experience, Mike successfully delivers each luxury home build through the use of his vast amount of knowledge and expertise. Mike’s career started as a design civil engineer, but his passion for building led him to a large, international commercial construction company. For over fifteen years, he played key roles in a wide variety of complex and challenging commercial projects. He was instrumental in starting the residential division of a commercial contractor to serve the needs of clients seeking a more professional approach to the build of their new homes. A passion for working on fine homes was stirred, resulting in a move to work on fine homes exclusively. For the past eighteen years, Mike has been involved in many significant new homes, renovations and restorations in Buckhead and the surrounding areas. His proven talent provides homeowners complete confidence that their dream home is built with meticulous detail, exceptional skill, and the utmost professionalism and integrity.
MANAGEMENT
CRAFT will incorporate a professional, proven approach in performing the build of your new residence. We feel the following key components are necessary to effectively and efficiently manage your project.
Your main point of contact will be available for the duration of your project and will be responsible for all activities related to your new home. These tasks include subcontractor and vendor coordination and management, field activities, construction progress, schedules and sequencing, field reports and documentation, client-design team communications, and project financials.
As the construction phase kicks-off, a Site Superintendent will be incorporated into the management of the project with direct responsibility of subcontractor coordination, logistics, and sequencing of material deliveries. Each of our Superintendents are selected based on their experience and knowledge of construction, their exemplary problem solving skills, and their ability to communicate with and motivate subcontractors.
